Enjoy the great outdoors of Bantry Bay, the Beara, the Sheep’s Head, and the Mizen Head Peninsulas with Wanderlust Glengarriff. Unrivalled views, peace, and tranquillity await you. In 2011 we offer a range of unique tours for you. Wanderlust is the outdoor events group for local outdoor enthusiasts and visitors to Bantry Bay, West Cork and South Kerry. We are based near the picturesque village of Glengarriff.

Hill Walking
Explore a world of mountains, glens, coasts, sea cliffs, beaches, rivers, lakes and ancient woodlands. Walking in one of Europe´s most scenic and untroubled natural habitats is like meditation.  As you walk your guide will share with you the local history, heritage, flora and fauna. Weekend breaks and weekday walks available.

From € 25 for a full day guided walk or € 159 for 2.5 days wallking break incl. 2 nights B&B and packed lunches.

Nordic Walking

Wanderlust also guides groups in the fun and healthy leisure activity of Nordic Walking.  Being the most popular new sport in Europe, Nordic Walking has taken off in West Cork as well. Glengarriff is Ireland´s Nordic Walking Capital. Irish folks love it!

Garden Tours

We also specialise in the world of trees, plants and aroma botany.  Learn more about the abundant flora and the history of one of the world’s favourite garden spots. Enjoy a few hours with Aroma Botanist Eliane Zimmermann in the Gardens of Garnish Island or the old demesnes of Bantry Bay.

Wanderlust is based near the picturesque village of Glengarriff.  This historic seaside community on Bantry Bay is surrounded by rugged mountains and ancient oak forests. Glengarriff is famed for its natural beauty. This small town with its 250 years of  history in tourism  is a walker´s paradise and Irelands Garden Haven.

Glengarriff village offers shops, pubs, restaurants, a post office, art galleries and other services.  Local attractions include the world famous gardens on Garnish Island, the Bamboo Park, the Ewe Sculpture Garden & Gallery, the Nature Reserve, the Blue Pool lagoon, and excellent  hotels, including the Eccles, the Park and Casey´s Hotel.

Glengarriff offers more than 150 kilometers of waymarked walks to its visitors and hill walks of all abilities.
