Wanderlust is based near the picturesque village of Glengarriff in West Cork.  This historic seaside community on Bantry Bay is surrounded by rugged mountains and ancient oak forests. Glengarriff is famed for its natural beauty. This small town with its 250 years of  history in tourism  in the heart of West Cork is a walker´s paradise and Ireland´s Garden Haven.

Glengarriff village offers shops, pubs, restaurants, a post office, art galleries and other services.  Local attractions include the world famous gardens on Garnish Island, the Bamboo Park, the Ewe Sculpture Garden & Gallery, the Nature Reserve and excellent  hotels. Glengarriff, the ideal starting point for trips to the Southwestern pensinsulas and islands offers more than 150 kilometers of waymarked walks to its visitors and hill walks of all abilities. Experience Ireland’s fascinating southwest with Wanderlust.

Garden Tours

We specialise in the world of trees, plants and aroma botany. Learn more about the abundant flora and the history of one of the world’s favourite garden spots. Enjoy a few hours with Aroma Botanist Eliane Zimmermann in the Gardens of Garnish Island or the old demesnes of Bantry Bay.

Hill Walking

Explore a world of mountains, glens, coasts, sea cliffs, beaches, rivers, lakes and ancient woodlands. Walking in one of Europe´s most scenic and untroubled natural habitats is like meditation. As you walk your guide will share with you the local history, heritage, flora and fauna. Weekend breaks and weekday walks available.

Nordic Walking

Wanderlust also guides groups in the fun and healthy leisure activity of Nordic Walking. Being the most popular new sport in Europe, Nordic Walking has taken off in West Cork as well. Glengarriff is Ireland´s Nordic Walking Capital.
